Masters in Emergency Medicine Society for Emergency Medicine – India (SEMI) ELIGIBILITY: Doctors with an MCI recognised M.B.B.S. degree are eligible.

Course Description

The Masters in Emergency Medicine (MEM) is a structured 3 year residency in the specialty of Emergency Medicine developed with the main aim to produce emergency physicians with the necessary knowledge, skill and attitude to diagnose and manage in an effective manner a wide range of clinical problems in as seen in the community and in secondary/tertiary care setting.

Special emphasis is placed on the relatively common emergencies and treatable disorders. Possession of clinical skills, required for making a diagnosis is given utmost importance.

Course Duration:

Three years full time attachment to the Department of Emergency; Ramakrishna Care Hospital; Raipur.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualification: MBBS registered with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.

Total Number of Seats Available for Admission:

4 seats per session.

Session Timings:

Session commences from 1st of July each year; application process starts in May. Dates for availability of application forms and subsequent submission will be announced by the month of April each year.

Selection Process:

Applicants will face a written entrance examination followed by an oral interview. Successful candidates will be communicated through email as well as telephonic communication and updated about subsequent joining formalities.
